Chandler Gin was started in 1952 as one gin and it soon expanded to five gins. The five gins were located in: Chandler, Gilbert, Higley, Queen Creek, and Serape (Chandler Heights and Arizona Ave).
As cotton acres were turned to housing the five gins soon became two larger gins, Serape and Higley, yet still handled the same amount of cotton. In year 2000, the two remaining gins were sold for housing as well. Chandler Gin was moved to its current location in Casa Grande while still handling the same amounts of cotton in one high speed gin, through innovation and hard work.
Although Chandler Ginning Company has changed with the times, one thing has never changed- its commitment to serving its members with quality and care.
Larry has been with Chandler Ginning Company since 1974. He started out as a seasonal employee and worked his way up to Gin Superintendent as of 2005. We value his dedication and wealth of knowledge of the ginning industry.
Larry is a second-generation Chandler Ginning Company employee. Larry’s father was with CGC from 1970-1990. Larry lived and played on the property growing up. He was born and raised in Gilbert AZ and has seen CGC go from 5 small gins in the Gilbert- Chandler area to 1 large gin in Casa Grande, there isn’t much he doesn’t know when it comes to CGC.
He is the father of 2 and has been married to his lovely bride Kathy, who has put up with his life as a ginner since 1978.
Carrie moved from the Oakley, California area in 2020 and started with Chandler Ginning Company. She received her accounting degree from Cal State East Bay and then worked in various industries before working for the Produce Exchange for 23 years.
She lives in the Chandler area and has been married to her husband Scott for 33 years and has 2 grown boys. She has brought with her years of experience in caring for her people; Carrie is the “Mom” of the gin and knows how to celebrate each person.
Her years of office management and accounting from the produce industry have proven a tremendous asset to our gin.
Nathan Goldman started with Chandler Ginning Company in 2018 and has been its General Manager since 2020. He received his degree in Animal Science from the University of Arizona in 1995.
He then worked on his family dairy farm becoming its General Manager and Vice President from 1988 to 2018. He still lives on the family dairy farm that is now leased to another dairy and is married to his wife Danna and raises their 9 children.
Nathan may be new to cotton but as a third-generation farmer and with his experience in management is an excellent addition to CGC.
